I unearthed this info from years ago at Draft Express:

Future Arizona Wildcat Brandon Jennings is "quietly" rewriting the record books this year at Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA). Jennings earned the nickname "dooby do" at the famed Rucker Park for his style, flash and mostly because he do-what-he-do.
This year at Oak Hill, B.Jennings is doing what he do better than any player in Oak Hill history. He is a pass-first PG, but with the sudden defections of top-50 guards Willie Warren and Malik Story before the 2007-2008 season began he has been forced to be the primary scorer on this years squad.
Last night Jennings broke the all-time single game scoring record by dropping 63 points against Bonner Academy (NC). He surpassed the single-game record of 61 by Calvin Duncan in 1980 despite sitting out the final 4:30 of the 4th quarter.
On the season, Jennings now has 1064 points (as of 2/20/08), having blown by the single season scoring record of 980 held by Josh Smith. He has 6 games left in the season to add on to this total and likely will push this record beyond any future players reach as Oak Hill traditionally deploys a much more balanced offensive attack.
This Oak Hill team is nowhere near as deep with NBA talent as years past and he has been given a freedom to score that few others have had. Had Warren and Story stuck around, chances are Dooby-do would be averaging 12+ assists per game rather than his current 37 PPG average (with 7+ assists).
Here is a short list of just a few of the former Oak Hill Academy basketball stars who are now looking up at Jennings in the record books:

Michael Beasley
Kevin Durrant
Carmelo Anthony
Josh Smith
Jerry Stackhouse
Ron Mercer
Rod Strickland
Rajon Rondo
Marcus Williams
Stephen Jackson
Corey Alexander
Ben Davis

Good find, he definitely could have ,if allowed , been a prep to pros pick. Whether he would have succeeded or not is up for debate. I believe he would have been drafted higher then. We got a steal imo even at 10. Oak hill is a bball factory a half step below college ball. More talent has gone through there than all but the top college schools. Its amazing and there is a bunch not listed there.

I thought this was pretty interesting info. In some circles he was seen as THE #1 prospect in that High School class. He's only a year removed from that. I have been looking at some youtube footage, and I say that this guy is a sick athletic freak. I don't think his jumper is bad either. LIke Kidd is a great jump shooter? Like Gary Payton was a great jump shooter? Cassell? I like the pick.

saying that he is explosive would be an understatement...
