CV will fit nicely any team looking for a shooting big man.

Charlie Villanueva: "Most 'shooting' big men settle for universally inefficient mid-range jumpers, which makes going to them on spot-up looks a poor play over time. Charlie V's ability to shoot the three makes him one of the best-shooting bigs in the league; his 46.2% eFG on jumpers means he's more efficient from outside than Kevin Garnett, LaMarcus Aldridge, Big Z himself, Jeff Green, Udonis Haslem, Lamar Odom, David West, Chris Bosh, Antawn Jamison, the list goes on. Only a few starting big men are better outside shooters than Villenueva, and most of them are well-known three-point assassins: Rashard Lewis, Troy Murphy, Dirk Nowitzki, et

The above was compiled for a Cavs blog. In Other words outside of a select few stars CV is the most efficient big man, certainly the most efficient available.

I am sure glad we don't need this guy so much that he walks for nothing.

I am also unconvinced we know what we need I have seen arguments for the same type of player brought in, arguments that we need a post up big man next to Bogut, arguments against that No wonder this team is screwed up. Die hard fans are even confused.

I agree, there is some trade in the works, also too many guards on the team! This is not the team that will open up the season.

We do need a good defensive PF such as Scola/Randolph who can grab off. boards and block shots to pair with Bogut. The guy needn't be good at post offense but need to have good mid range jumper. Too bad CV isn't good at any of the above (his mid range game is actually not as good as his long range).

COMPLETELY AGREE!!!!

He is exactly what we need in our starting lineup, I think he's an unrestricted free agent this summer, we definitely should go after him, and I don't think he will be more than $5 million/yr, hope we have the money.

I want Scola or preferably Landry. We need that and we have pieces that would be attractive to the Rockets. KT to the Rockets for either.... They surely need at least a backup center at this point....

Oh well CV is now a Piss-ant.......sorry we used to play a side call the "Pistons" in a local league and we used to call them the "Piss-ants"......BOL CV.

i love scolas game but have fun tring to get him now that yao's future is unstable at best.

They could use some cap space. They're up against it, and who knows what TMac has left? We know Yao is done for next year, too. KT and Elson could be made to work as both teams have trade exceptions to even it out. Bowen would give them some cap relief to do a separate deal, too. If we had one of Landry or Scola - I'd consider giving up a top-10 protected 1st rounder. I don't see how we'd end up in the lottery if we did that deal...

We should be able to outbid Denver as his new contract is $5.2M/yr except for 5 yrs is really too long, I would only give him 2-3 yrs at $12-18M.
