Yeah, I like the new forum set-up. Matt5 good call on the Jennings pick. I'm going to admit to knowing nothing about the kid other than what I just read, but I do like the swing for the fences approach you suggested. Now if we can somehow get a Mbah A Moute kind of 2nd rounder...

RU diggin this pick or not, bucksjam?

I'm not sure how 2 feel - looks like the guy could be good, but how the hell do we know? He hasn't gone the traditional route, and I doubt the Bucks have a whole team of scouts deployed in Europe!

Last time we gambled on an "unknown commodity" like this, we drafted guy who didn't work out for the team, and through his agent said in no uncertain terms that he DID NOT want to play in Milwaukee. A year later, the guy had played an unremarkable half a season, and he's a tool to get rid of a bloated, piece of crap Larry Harris contract. At least we're not calling anyone's bluff this year!

I'm still scratching my head in response to this whole first round. What the hell is Minnesota doing? Like Sparky, I'm praying we don't wind up with Ty Lawson somehow!

These 2 picks obviously don't bode well for Sessions. It looks like sign/trade, or packaging a vet with one of the youngsters. I say it's time for the youth movement. Move Redd and play the youngsters?

....this was a strange draft...

I hardly heard of any of these kids...

they all have potential....but are mostly raw...extra raw talent...

Rick in Cali & Matt...could be both right...

Thanks guys. I thought it was time for a facelift.

I'm pretty stoked about these draft picks. I think Meeks will be pretty decent, and Jennings.. well, he could be El Busto, or a huge pick. I like the risky pick. The Bucks need to take chances.

Redd's still recovering from his knee injury so it's very hard to move him. Hopefully it will be a mid-season move in the next season.

This year's draft is exceptionally weak, so with #10 pick, what else we could lose? I agree we should take a chance and we did with Jennings, however I think we should take the chance with Hansborogh instead of Jennings. Hansborogh is a good fit for Skiles and we need PF more desparately than PG as its easier now to keep Sessions.

Dude - Hansborough?!? Seriously?!? Just tell me why!

You know as well as I do that Tyler Hansbrough doesn't have the talent to be even a mid-level player in the NBA. He's not even going to be as good a pro as Christian Laettner was! Let Indiana piss away their 1st rounder with that scrub!

Is it just because he's white? It's OK - there's no judgement here...

I would rather take a flyer on a perimeter player 9 times out of 10 in the NBA these days. It's just a better bet. I mean, how many picks has this team wasted on big stiffs in the last 10 years? Have you learned nothing from Bogut, Ilyasova, Yi, Haislip, and Alexander?!? C'mon, Rose - you're better than that!

Hey Champion...

We are all somewhat gun shy...these days....

Instead of head-over-heals...delusional...on Draft Picks panning out...

Am I the only one, thinking Meeks (our 2nd rounder) will be an impact player much sooner then Jennings?

Bogut, Ilyasova and Alexander are all stiffs? I hope "you're better than that"!

Yes.

All due respect, but that is retarded. Something about pillow biting comes to mind.... Check your alternate identity...
